Transformative Tourism Projects

Eco-Agro-Tourism Villages

A tourism hub that combine immersive agricultural experiences with sustainable farming, allowing you to engage directly with local farming communities. Nestled within scenic landscapes, such as the volcanic regions near Musanze, eco-agro-tourism villages will provide tourists with opportunities to learn about organic farming practices, participate in traditional Rwandan farming techniques, and gain insights into local biodiversity.  This projects we bear, promote environmental education and cultural exchange, creating a unique attraction for eco-conscious travelers like you and supporting rural livelihoods.

Integrated Livestock Project

This project focuses on enhancing sustainable livestock farming in Rwanda, including rabbit farming, fish farming, turkey rearing, and other small livestock. The project incorporates  modern techniques, promoting nutrition, diversifying income, and eco-friendly practices. Export-oriented farming will be prioritized by ensuring high-quality standards, fostering partnerships, and tapping into international markets to boost Rwanda’s exports and economic growth

Hiking Trail Developement

A hiking trail development project in Rwanda is yet to be developed by Widen Nature to enhance eco-tourism, promoting sustainable economic growth while preserving natural landscapes. This project will create well-marked trails through Rwanda’s scenic terrains, including lush rainforests, volcanic mountains, and picturesque lakes. Emphasizing eco-friendly infrastructure  and small eco-lodges built from sustainable materials. By training local guides and supporting nearby communities, the project would create job opportunities and stimulate small-scale enterprises, connecting visitors to Rwanda’s biodiversity.

Sustainable Farming Projects

Sustainable Crop Development

This project aims the production of key crops including chili, maize, and avocado through climate-smart agriculture, improved seed varieties. By aligning with MINAGRI’s strategy for sustainable intensification and export-oriented agriculture, the project will promotes environmental conservation and food security. The high-quality chili and avocado products will target international markets, strengthening Rwanda’s agricultural export portfolio.

Carbon-sequestering coffee and tea farms

Coffee and tea are major exports for Rwanda, and transitioning these farms to carbon-sequestering models can get significant environmental and economic benefits. Using practices like shade-grown coffee, cover cropping, and agroforestry, these farms can improve carbon capture and enhance soil quality. Certification programs for carbon-neutral coffee and tea would open access to premium international markets willing to pay more for sustainably produced products.
